About the event
Dr. Sue Grand is faculty and supervisor at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis; faculty, the Mitchell Center for Relational Psychoanalysis; faculty the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and a visiting scholar at the Psychoanalytic Institute for Northern California and the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. She is a fellow at the Institute for Psychology and the Other. She is on the boards of Psychoanalytic Dialogues and Psychoanalysis, Culture and Society. She is the author of The Reproduction of Evil: A Clinical and Culture Perspective and The Hero in the Mirror: from Fear to Fortitude. She has co-edited books on the trans-generational transmission of trauma and on Relational theory. She co-authored Trans-generational Transmission: A Contemporary Introduction, published in 2025. Dr. Grand's work probes destructiveness and repair in psyche and culture. She is in private practice in NYC and in Teaneck N.J.
